Work stool

Stand-up desks are all the rage at work.  There's supposed to be all kinds of health benefits, you stay more alert, etc, etc.  I moved desks at work so I'm trying it for the time being.  We'll see how it goes.

Anyway, a co-worker uses a stand-up desk and his china made stool broke into pieces.  Fortunately no one was hurt.  The top part was still good so I made a new base.

The legs are made from a nice tuba-for.

The dowel cross members have a walnut wedge to hold the joint tight.  These are super strong.

  1. Looking good Chad. Never heard of it but I'm going to have to get myself some of that tuba-for wood for legs, it makes some nice looking legs.
