Here's the entertainment center I've been working on for 2 months. The top is recycled Walnut and the rest is wormy Ash. It's a tank. Glad grandpa's back held out for the trip up the stairs.
The base is painted with black milk paint then 'distressed' with sandpaper. The pottery barn version of this is $1600. I think I have $200 in this one after some craigslist lumber steals.
There will be doors added later. I ran out of wormy Ash. The ugly basket is temporary. It holds all our Neilson rating equipment.
Drawers are made of Cherry.

I love it more and more everyday! I do think we should put a shelf in the open part until you get doors on it. It would look less empty. But I haven't told you how much I love it!
