Concrete

The concrete truck was busy on Thursday and Friday.  They poured our basement, garage, and porch.  The shingles appear to be complete as well.  This is good as they are calling for rain the next four days.

This will be our view.

I'm trying to build a house here.  Can we end winter already.  Yes, this is from today.

Electric Walkthrough

Today we met to do the electrical walkthrough.  We picked out all the light and switch locations and like every other day since we started, added more cost to the house.  There was lots of activity today.  Roofers were shingling, concrete guys were stoning, and bankers were approving (the bank makes sure their construction loan funds are being applied properly)

We should be getting concrete this Thursday.

Where's my roof??

We drove up to the house today expecting to see some shingles on the roof.  Unfortunately they were still sitting in a big pile.  Looks like the framing crew took the day off??

Why can't it be this simple

Note to self, don't build a fence at the new house... it won't do any good.
