Semi-auto rubber band gun
Here is my latest rubber band gun. It's a 3 shot semi-automatic. Shannon, this is one of your two so I hope the boys like it as I'm out of time.

New pen type and bottle stopper
I've been making quite a few things for Christmas but don't want to post them here yet. In the mean time, I'm sure everyone is just itching to see more pens and bottle stoppers. Well, here ya go.
There is no finish on this stopper. It's just polished Rosewood.

Dumpster dresser - phase 2
Most of my Thanksgiving break has been spent wrestling with this dresser re-do. I'm using milk paint so I had to make sure the thing was fully stripped. Milk paint doesn't stick to anything but bare wood. As I was installing the new sides I made I couldn't help but notice the dresser always looked twisted. Turns out one leg was 35.5", one was 35", one was 34.5", and the last was 34", no joke. I'm guessing someone had this on the side of a hill or something??
Another issue was that the top was too small. I think we're missing a piece or maybe this had a mirror at one time. I ended up making a 'backstop' with the same curve as the front.
Next steps are putting poly in the drawer fronts, waxing the paint, and installing the drawer knobs. I spent 2 hours alone stripping paint from those things. You should need a license to buy paint. If you ever paint hinges, knobs, key holes, or on top of 3 other layers, you lose your license.

Old, Ugly, dresser - phase 1
Can you think of anything more fun than spending a good part of a day stripping paint and replacing broken parts on a dirty, ugly, old dresser that should be in a dumpster? Yeah, I can too... like that other day when I was at the dentist.
This guy is on the honey-do list so I figured I would get it out of the way. It has at least 2 layers of paint, at least one coat of poly, the top is split in two, and the veneer sides are beyond repair.

Drawers after stripping
Fortunately there was no glue on this thing, just nails. I was able to take it apart quite easily.
Not sure why I spent any time stripping this side. There was no hope for the veneer.

Rustic bar stool #2
The top of this one is made from the Ambrosia Maple I got for 50 cents a board foot. I wish now I would have bought the whole pile. It's very cool looking wood.
Two down, one to go...

Rustic, ant hole bar stool.
This is (was) first of 3 new bar stools I'm making. Unfortunately this one is too narrow, has rungs too low, and full of holes that hurt ones butt. The top is walnut stained honey locust and the bottom is painted/glazed poplar.
The holes don't hurt his butt.

Not so perfect dish
I posted the top part of this dish/bowl before. It's not the greatest piece of work because the wood was so rotted and falling apart. However, I started liking it more and more as it sat around the shop. I made a base for it... gotta like the spalted wood.
